48 months: September 1 2014 – September 1 2018
As illustrated in Table 1, most of the project activities are most intensive during the first and last 16 months. The first 16 months will be dedicated to the literature review and meta-analysis to laid theoretical ground for primary research (Objective 1, A1.1). The cultural creative survey with we forum (Objective 2, A2.1), the inventory/analysis of transformative travel providers (A3.1), together with the in-depth interviews with the entrepreneurs (A3.2) will be completed in preparation of the longitudinal ethnographic research of participants in transformative travel (Objective 3). A research of transformative travel participants is longitudinal, thus sufficient time was allocated (Objective 4, A4.1, A4.2).
The research activities will intensify again in the from 32nd month of the project, when data on transformative practices, processes and context will be analysed and first result emerge. Then, the industry/policy leaders and stakeholder views will be harnessed via in-depth interviews, focus groups and content analysis of media (Objective 5, A5.1, A5.2, A5.3). The fourth year of the project will be dedicated to the theory building (Objective 5, A5.1, A5.2, A5.3) and formulation of practical implication for tourism industry. Dissemination will take place through the life of the project.
